Phil has been providing general advice to people since 2004 through a weekly column in the Canberra Times answering readers’ financial questions. Phil has been improving the financial literacy and understanding of many people by providing information on the financial planning industry through regular presentations to staff and members of schools, businesses, Government Departments and community groups.
Phil has been a long-standing member of the Financial Planning Association and has been actively involved at a local ACT Chapter level, filling the role of Chairman from 2002 to 2007. Phil has also been honoured by the Commonwealth of Australia, receiving a Bravery Medal from the Governor-General on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Second.
Scott started Bravium in 2007. Since then, he’s built the business into one of Canberra’s top financial planning firms. During his 15 year career, Scott has been recognised four times by the AFR as a Top 50 Smart Investor.
I’m the Managing Director of Bravium and have been providing professional financial advice to clients for over 10 years. I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).

Andrew Saikal-Skea is an Independent Financial Adviser who specialises in providing highly personalised financial advice to a diverse clientele in Canberra. His clientele includes professionals, business owners, public servants, military personnel, and retirees. Andrew embarked on his financial planning career in 2013, making the move from Scotland to Canberra.
Over the years, Andrew has gained valuable experience in the financial advisory field. Gianna has been in financial services since 2001, after leaving the farming life. She has since become a financial planner for professionals, whereby over 50% have financial anxiety even if they are earning over $100,000 per annum. Her clients are generally time-poor too, so she is all about helping her clients be financially well-organised and build more wealth, so they have more time to spend on their careers, family, health and personal life.
Since being a First State Super Financial Planner of the Year Award nominee, Gianna decided to run her own money coaching and financial planning business and is the founder of Thomson Wealth Pty Ltd.
She has a wealth of experience, and multiple qualifications to provide financial advice regarding superannuation, retirement planning, cash flow management, investing, debt management, asset protection, tax, personal insurance and estate planning. She also collaborates with other experts on your behalf, such as an accountant, lawyer and mortgage broker, to save you time from doing so.

Scott has been in the financial services industry since 2000 and prior to starting Money Mechanics was senior financial planner for another national firm. Scott is an Authorised Representative (ASIC No. 262368) of Infocus Securities Australia Pty Ltd ABN 47 097 797 049 AFSL No. 236523. Scott is a Registered Tax Practitioner (Financial Services) Tax Agent Number 24653755.
In 2005 he became the first Registered Life Planner (RLP) in Australia with The Kinder Institute of Life Planning, after completing the EVOKE training program in the United States and a 12-month mentorship program. In 2009 he completed training with The Money Coaching Institute and enjoys learning all he can about the Life Planning methodology and the psychology around people’s relationship with money.
Scott has been awarded the internationally recognised CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) certification through the Financial Planning Association of Australia SMSF Specialist Advisor® (SSA) with the Self Managed Super Fund Association (SMSFA).
Scott is passionate about financial literacy and education and has been running courses at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) and Laneway Learning Melbourne on Financial Planning and Money topics since 2007.
In 2010 completed his Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
Scott sits on not-for-profit community boards and is a true believer in a ‘practising what I preach‘ mentality. As a result, Scott has investments in the property and share markets along with having his own family Self Managed Super Fund while also enjoying work-life balance.
